Nancy Ridge Life Science and Office Building

This creative office/lab space is home to one of San Diego's many life science and technology companies, supporting research and development just outside of city limits as part of a bustling innovation economy. The project includes the renovation of and addition to the client's existing two-story office and light manufacturing building.

The main design feature is an entirely new street façade and what the design team has dubbed a "parklette," which welcomes tenants and guests at the front of the building and provides a serene procession from surface parking lots on either side. An exterior feature stair leads up to a second-level outdoor roof terrace, programmed for meetings, breakout space or outdoor dining off of the main kitchen breakroom and lounge space.
