The grand opening for our Stoneview Nature Center, a public building for LA County Parks and Recreation, occurred on April 8th. This design-build projects converts a brownfield site into edible gardens and provides educational opportunities for visitors!
Opening day involved salsa dancing, salsa making at our outdoor kitchen and plenty of happy adults and kids! Remarks were made by LA County Board of Supervisors Chairman Mark Ridley-Thomas and LA County Department of Parks and Recreation director John Wicker.
Congrats to the team who made this happen, including our civic artist Fallen Fruit, landscape architect AHBE Landscape Architects and signage designer Omnivore.
