2175 Park Place Renovation

The project consists of renovating an existing two-story building into a multi-tenant creative office space within a mixed use commercial zoning area. The renovation brought new life to the existing building and softened its hard edges by connecting the interior with the exterior both physically and visually.

The defined two story main entry portal is prominent and visible from the intersection of Park Place and Apollo Street and draws people into the lobby through glimmering metal mesh screening and warm wood interior. Upon entry into the portal, two flanking private balconies extend out from the backdrop of a two-story curtain wall breaking up the scale of the large volume.

On the interior, the existing structure will be left exposed to view.

A rich palette of materials such as wood, dark anodized aluminum, metal mesh, and clear glass was introduced.

New landscaping further connect interior and exterior through a "pocket park" on the West side of the building, enlivening the entry experience and providing an intimate space for lunch or casual outdoor meetings.

Additional amenities include private and public patios, an exterior courtyard with a fireplace, open grass areas for ball sports, and a dog park.

The patio and balcony areas are surrounded by a combination of concrete, wood, and transparent metal screening simultaneously providing both zones of privacy and adding transparency for close interaction with planting areas.
