Since its completion in late 2021, The Press, our 450,000-sf adaptive re-use of an abandoned Los Angeles Times printing facility in Costa Mesa, has won an array of local and national design recognition.

As of November 2022 these include awards from three different American Institute of Architects (AIA) chapters, the Chicago Athenaeum and the Southern California Development Fund (SCDF):
- AIA CA Design Award, Merit
- AIA LA Design Award, Merit
- AIA Orange County Design Award, Honor
- Chicago Athenaeum American Architecture Award
- SCDF Design Award
EYRC Partner Patricia Rhee told Dezeen in a recent interview, "to me, what makes this project so meaningful is that it recycles a building." She hopes to see "more projects like this – where you take something that has really amazing bones and use it for a campus. That was my goal – to inspire other people to think in that way."
