THE PRESS: RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT BUILDING

As part of The Press Adaptive Re-Use campus
project, the tenant, required additional space
for fabrication, research and office.

Physically separated from the cluster of main
buildings, the R&D building establishes a connection in the landscape, its main entry an extension of a welcome pavilion and the planted promenade.

Along the north side of the building, a wide
landscaped strip and pedestrian path act as the
primary connection, alternating between trees,
low planting, enclosed patios, and informal seating.

The interior is split into two sections, a full height R&D section and a three-story area with additional R&D spaces at level one & two, and office space on level three.
